ADVANTAGES FOR PARTICIPANTS
Advantages for those participating in the Olympiads
- International Educational Points:
We obtain international educational points from the European Union of Medical Specialties (EUMS), European Accreditation Council on CME (EACCME) for those MD colleagues who participate in the Olympiads.
- Financial benefits
Young colleagues, colleagues from developing countries and those with high cost travel expenses may have financial benefits for their registration fee and other expenses.
- Special Sessions
A workshop on a practical subject may be organized. Furthermore, presentations on “how to” and/or “why” on practical subjects of social interest may be organized. Related satellite sessions may be also organised.
- Younger Colleagues
It is our wish to include in the participants of the Olympiads younger colleagues and advisors may very well help us on this. Younger colleagues may have financial support as mentioned above.
- Support by the International Advisors Committee
The International Advisors Committee is very important in the field of organizing the International Medical Olympiads and representing various Countries. The kind, voluntary contribution aims to support the submission of original papers of social interest and to inform colleagues from various Countries about the benefits offered for the attending colleagues. Advisors may also wish to propose to the Organizing Committee the colleague to deliver the main lecture of the Olympiad and may also evaluate the papers submitted from their Country. Advisors may suggest the chair-persons of the Meeting and also suggest the best papers to receive awards. Advisors may participate in the Organizing Committee and furthermore suggest other colleagues as co-Advisors.
- A Sponsored Competition on a Specific Subject
We encourage sponsors, Individuals, Institutions or Pharmaceutical Firms to be sponsors of a competition on subjects like: Alzheimer’s Dementia, Lymphomas, Nanoparticles, Genetics etc. Winners will be those who will write the best research paper on any of these or other subject chosen by the sponsors. This event will be well advertised. There will be a high financial prize for the winners.
- Excursion
On the last day of every Olympiad a one day excursion is organized, to an important touristic and/or historical place, escorted by an experienced guide. In this excursion the participants of the Olympiads can be better acquainted and discuss scientific subjects of mutual interest.
